New Year, Same Spirit
As Catholics, we believe in the Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We know the Holy Spirit is ever-present in our daily lives, guiding us if we are open and receptive to its movement. Have you ever wondered if the Holy Spirit guided you to become a Knight? Take a moment to reflect on that. Many of you have been dedicated to this fraternity for years, even decades. Was your journey here by chance, or was it the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit?
I firmly believe the Spirit led me to the Knights. The Lord sees the good works we do and desires for them to continue in this broken world. But simply being here is not enough. We are called to act, for the Holy Spirit has placed us here for a purpose.
As we step into the New Year, I encourage you to consider how you will act as a Knight. Attending meetings is important, but it’s only a starting point. Bring your best self to every interaction. Allow the Holy Spirit to work through you to elevate our organization and deepen our impact on the world around us. Consider volunteering for a new initiative, recruiting a new Fourth Degree Knight, or engaging in meaningful discussions at our meetings. Each of these actions helps strengthen our brotherhood and amplify the good we do in the world.
Let us rely on the gifts of the Holy Spirit — wisdom, courage, and understanding — to guide our actions as we continue our mission. Together, as brothers united by faith and purpose, we can achieve great things and bring hope to a world in need.
If we are true believers, there is no other way. Let us be inspired, united, and ready to answer the call.
